22nd World Scout Jamboree 2011 – Kristianstad Sweden

In July 2011, a grassy field just outside Kristianstad in Sweden will be transformed into a bustling home for nearly 40,000 Scouts from over 140 countries. These young people will experience multiculturalism in action, have the opportunity to interact and participate with others from different backgrounds and learn how to build solidarity and understanding across social and geographical boundaries. This is the World Scout Jamboree 2011!

We are Jack (12) and Genna (15), both members of 13th Ipswich Sea Scouts. We have been selected against stiff competition to be part of the contingent that will represent the UK at the 2011 World Scout Jamboree and are tremendously excited about this. However, to make this happen, over the next 18 months we need to raise £5000. This money will help cover our own costs, but more importantly, will allow Scouts from developing and less wealthy countries get to Kristianstad. We are planning many different fund raising events and activities for the coming months, but need your help and generosity.
